Applesauce question

Can I use unsweetened applesauce with ascorbic acid? It says it’s to maintain color.

Ascorbic acid is Vitamin C, that's fine.
For what reason are you giving him applesauce? Shouldn't be a regular food (as generally fruit should not be), but fine to get bowel movements going.

Someone suggested it ,mixed with a couple other things for a week or two, to soften her urates. As well as fixing her calcium levels. And, thank you very much!!!
