SOPA Strike Home Page

This message is here to raise awareness regarding a bill being proposed that will stifle the Internet. It is an brute effort by ignorant politicians to "stop online piracy", but is so over-reaching as to become a vehicle for extreme Internet censorship.

Join Google, Yahoo!, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, AOL, LinkedIn, eBay, Wikimedia Foundation, the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF), the ACLU, and BeardedDragon.org in letting our legislators know that SOPA (the Stop Online Piracy Act) is NOT acceptable.

Check out these Wikipedia links for information on SOPA (which is the bad thing), and the opposition to it (a good thing).

Google also has something for this. If you go to their main home page today, you'll see that the logo is "blacked out". Clicking on that logo goes to Google's informational page regarding the "strike".

Wikipedia also has a page specifically about this "blackout".

This message will be displayed for 10 minutes at the top of every hour for the rest of today. I hope that it is not too terribly inconvenient for you. SOPA certainly would be.
