    two new beardies for me

    Yesterday afternoon I picked up two new beardies for myself. A german giant male (he is huge) and an orange leatherback female. They are both roughly 3 years old and seem to be in good health.

    baby beardies acting tough

    So toothless (approx. 3 months old) started practicing fluffing his beard today. I put him on the couch where the sun was shining with the window open for some sun. He always looks away from me while he does it, so I'm pretty sure it isn't directed toward me, but I can't help but chuckle.

    So after catching an eastern fence lizard, I got the bug for a beardie. So today, I went and purchased toothless, and I must say; I should have done this years ago! He is incredible!

    what is he?

    So as unusual as this sounds, I'm pretty certain I caught a beardie in central NC Sunday. He has the right colorations and overall features/actions but I'm no expert. He has small spines around his neck, but few/very small ones down his sides. If I were to guess I would say he is a pogoda minor...
