    Coming out of Brumation

Thank you, always like to check with you guys. I can imagine once he wakes he’ll be a little cranky so will leave him to warm up for a few days first Thanks 💛

    Coming out of Brumation

Hi all hope you’re all well. Just wanting to pick your brains on Brumation. My little man is brumating for the fist time and he’s just over 1 year. He’s been asleep for around 7 weeks now with the occasional leg stretch and wiggle. I have had him since 5 months old and wanted to know what to...

    Behavior change

I’ll have to have a look about but nothing really has changed, he is near a full length window so maybe I’ll close the shutters and see if that makes a difference as neighbourhood cats may come into the garden while im at work. I have a mini cam in the viv and today he seems to be on his ladder...

Yes the lighting fixtures are all fixed inside the viv.m, it’s a solid lid.

    Behavior change

Thank you all for taking the time to come back to me, much appreciated 🙂 So, my viv is 4x2x2, my little man is 7/8 months. he was 217 grams about 3 weeks ago. Iv attached some more photos so the placement of the lights can be seen. They are quite dark as I took them as I left for work and it’s...

I’ll try and post some pictures too. Heat and lighting, I have the Arcadia Solar basking floodlight 100w and the Arcadia T5 desert 12% (lights set up like in the pic attached). It’s nighttime here so will try and get a picture of the little man in the morning. Basking platform, 40•c, warm side...

    Behavior change

No real stress marks, he had them when I first got him but nothing really prominent now, he’s not black bearded yet either. He just seems really miserable and I’m getting worried there’s more to it.

    Behavior change

Hi all, after some advice. Iv had my dragon since June and he is around 7/8 months old. We’ve been doing daily bonding time outside of the enclosure, I typically pick him up, let him stay on me until he wants to climb off and explore. He has a wonder around and then would climb up my back up to...

    New dragon behaviour

Heres an update for you guys as it all’s taken a very positive turn 😊 Seems he was a little constipated and was grumpy because he couldn’t go. He’s done the biggest poop and is such a happy boy now. Even asking for pets in his playpen and had my first neck snuggle 🤗 But, now he’s back in his viv...

    New dragon behaviour

Thank you, getting the Arcadia uvb bulbs from Swell online as no stores where I live (Jersey, Channel Islands) stock Arcadia anymore. I have 2 back ups of each bulb. Distance is roughly 17 inches as fixed inside the enclosure. I’ll order the digital probe thermometers now.

    New dragon behaviour

Just to add, in the last picture there is a coil uvb but this is not plugged in. Had issues with faulty Arcadia uvb bulbs so this is just a back up fixture either for uvb or a ceramic heat bulb if ever needed.

    New dragon behaviour

Thank you so much for your reply. I have the Arcadia ProT5 12% and the Arcadia 100w basking light. His basking temp is around 100 taken with a lazer temp gun. I’ve read so many things and I’m so worried he’s stressed out. Is it okay to just leave him and not handle for a few more days? It’s...

    New dragon behaviour

Hello all 👋🏼 need some advice. I rescued a 3 year old male 2 weeks ago. When I first had him I could easily pick him up and take him out of his enclosure for some outside time. Over the last few days he is positioning himself so I can’t quite get to him to pick him up, under branches, back of...
