Alfalfa Pellets
Google lookup
Average Rating: 2.75 beardies

These are basically the stuff you feed to a rabbit, just not dusty. They can be ingested with no problems (some manufacturers sell them as beardie food) and are good smelling. The only downside is that they need to be changed regularly to prevent mold.

Comments: These mold way to easy and crickets love to burrow down in them.

Comments: I really like the pellets and my little one tends to be happy. He occasionally eats one accidentally but he's just fine. Mold is bad though, don't put a water dish in with them. -Nic

Comments: Not worth the risk of mold. It is good as a substrattte, nearly no problems if ingested, but molds easily... needs to be changed often.

Comments: I really like this stuff. I prefer it over washed playsand. It really smells nice and looks okay for someone that wants a semi-natural setup. It looks better than papertowels and is easier than sand. I don't like that it has to be changed often. Not reccomended for younger beardies that need sprayed.
