Here's how my newbie build has been going

Hedgehogs are so freakin cute. And lol yeah, I don't do roaches. Which is silly, because I live in the South, but still... bleh. I stick with crickets and superworms. As for Asimov, it's pretty funny because while he's a master slayer of backyard wildlife, he's also a perfect gentleman around...

Here's how my newbie build has been going

Heh yeah I love to spoil my pets (I believe all pets should be spoiled lol). My menagerie currently consists of Mushu, 2 cats, a dwarf hamster, a fish tank, and an emperor scorpion. Here's Asimov trying to make friends with a dubious Mushu while I was installing the doors 🥰

Thanks! Exterior dimensions are roughly 6.5x2x2 ft. It definitely has some presence in the room! My next goal is to try to add some color to it- not sure how yet, maybe throw in a couple of my aloes and haworthiopsis.

Here's how my newbie build has been going

A while back (I think over a year now), I came to these forums for advice on building a tank for my rapidly growing little guy. And yall answered every question I had! It's still a work in progress, but here is Mushu's Palace as it stands. I must say I'm pretty pleased with it so far, and so...

HAH! That's exactly what I want and so much better priced than I've found! One more problem solved.😁 I'm pretty sure I can build a screen lid for it, so this brings me to my last(?) question (maybe): what's a good tile to use for substrate? I need to cover a bit less than 11ft²

Thought I'd update my build progress and ask another question, since I have one... Build is going well: frame, back, and bottom are done! (That's him in his 20gal in the new frame for scale). I'm on to lighting, now, and thought I'd go with a 46" T5 high output 12%uvb w/ reflector. I just...

I live in the Atlanta, GA area so humidity can definitely get up there. Even now, in December, the interior humidity of our house is >50%. Not sure how much of an issue that is though, as the higher temps in the tank will reduce the relative humidity inside. Thanks for the bulb advice, I'll...

Thank you for the quick response! You've settled the base material question for me, which is awesome because that was my biggest barrier to further development. I was thinking about a partial screen top cold side and wiring up a quiet computer fan on the hot side for active ventilation. Is...

Hi all! I just joined the forum in search of knowledge and advice on a habitat build for my first beardie, a rapidly growing boy named Mushu. Interior dimensions will be 72x22x24"(ish). While I'm still in the design phase, I could use some help figuring out appropriate...
