Aspirated Water? - Solved and Healthy!

Thanks for the tips and reassurance, everyone. It has been two days since he coughed up the water, and he has not been making any noises when breathing since the evening of the day that it happened. I would have to say that he is back to his old self again! As a little thanks, here is a picture...

    Het. Hypo 66 percent

I agree, the above dragon is not a visible hypo. I have a hypotranslucent female, and her nails are completely clear. Any pigmentation is a warning that the dragon is likely not a hypo. I'll try to get a picture for you guys in a few. Here you go: Also, the whole dragon:

    Het. Hypo 66 percent

66% hets are what you get when you breed two dragons that are both heterozygous for a trait. For example: ------------------- Het Hypo x Het Hypo = 25% Hypos, 50% Het Hypo, 25% Non carriers This means that any dragons that is not VISIBLY hypomelanistic from this cross is 66% possible het...

Aspirated Water? - Solved and Healthy!

Hello, I just gave my adult male bearded dragon a bath. In the bath, he drank some (but not an extreme) amount of water. When I took him out and was drying him off, he spat up some water and when holding him with his head down I could see it running out of his nostrils and mouth. He was also...

    Constant glass dancing, not eating.

I did not mean to sound offended! I actually thought it rather funny. Yes, I am well aware most people are not sure. No worries! :D Sorry I was not clear about my experience, but yes, I have had reptiles most of my life. This is my first time dealing with brumation, however. Fun stuff! Thanks...

    Constant glass dancing, not eating.

I am very positive he is a male. Not only was he sexed by the breeder, I have had reptiles for years and like to think I could tell. He is certainly a male, complete with femoral pores and two bulges. X3 He last shed maybe a little over a month ago, when his growth started to plateau.

    Constant glass dancing, not eating.

So, my boy Legion has decided to go and make me worried again. For the past 2 weeks he has spent much of his time either hiding in his cave sleeping or furiously glass dancing and pacing along the front of his enclosure. For the past week, he has refused to eat anything that is not dripped onto...

    Help identifying morph?

Looks like a normal to me. And keep an eye on the alfalfa pellets - they are a great substrate, and I use them, but my beardie does not poop in his cage. They can mold very easily when wet or pooped on.

Anyone else have Carolina Classic Dragons babies?

I am personally a big fan of Carolina Classic Dragons. Both of my beardies are from them, and it looks like these two might be the first of many. Anyone else out there have and beardies from CCD that they want to share? I would love to see how some of the babies they have sold have turned out...

    Dwarf

To clear up the dwarf question, the dwarfism is a genetic trait that can occur in bearded dragons. Similar to the shorter legs of munchkin cats, or curled ears of Scottish Folds. In the same way, the nature of dwarfism and how it effects the bearded dragon is debated. Some breeders will sell...
