Hello everyone, just a quick update. My friend is taking me to a reptile expert tomorrow, it is an hours drive away but should be well worth it! It is a reptile vets only so that is good. I will let you know how she gets on! Fingers crossed for my little one.

I hope so too, she doesnt look good but hopefully she will be able to be helped :) thanks again for all your help. I can only find the metal reflectors that hold the reptisun 10.00 bulbs? Are these okay? Or should I be using a reflector? Also I am getting 24" which will cover half of the tank but will be next to the basking areas. How close should I allow my dragons?

I think Chacoby has died :( With her being so ill and tiny I can never tell if she is alive unless I play around with the syringe to get reaction when I try to feed her. She is not responding to anything :( I am so upset. Is there anything I can do to try and resuscitate her, anything? She is due to see the specialist tomorrow and I feel bad as I couldn't get her there sooner :( How can I tell if she has died, this is heartbreaking

I am so sorry, there really isn't anything you can do.if she responds to nothing then she probably passed. No breathing at all? I know it hurts but at least she is no longer suffering. I grieve for you, the loss of a dragon is never easy. If you ever need to talk to any of us let us know. We know you cared for her and she did too.

All the time she has been ill, I very rarely see her breathe so that is not out of the ordinary, and she never hardly ever responds, only yo the needle. it is just she has not responded to anything, I even tried the back trick as a last resort, this didn't work either :( Thank you for all of your help, hopefully she isn't I am keeping her warm in the tank and will check on her, I don't want to feed her with no response, it may harm her more! I will keep you updated, I hope she is okay.

Hello,

Oh no, I am sorry. I know that you have tried very hard with her, she has been ill for awhile. Keep us posted on Chacoby.
The metal reflector should be fine, in the fixture, itself, correct? The light should be mounted 6-8 inches alongside of a bright white basking light, for safety.
Please let us know how things are coming along.

No the fixture is actually all metal and the bulb goes in it. She is going stuff now :( I've heard stories about dragons coming back I know that I have to accept she is gone but shall I keep her in her blanket and under the light? Then what do I do? I'm so scared incase she hasn't died. It's awful. I tried my best and I really appreciate the help I've been given

In disbelief I would like to tell you all that Chacoby has died she died this afternoon, I still have her in the tank, and she has gone quite stiff now, sounds awful, but I have put her on a hot water bottle wrapped in her blanket one last time, just incase :( I am very grateful to all of you people that helped me, at least she is at rest now. She was a beautiful dragon and deserved the best life and fought right until the very end. R.I.P Chacoby :( You will be missed xx

Yes it is :( I didn't have her a long time but she meant the world to me. I really do think she was ill from birth. I am unsure what to do with her, sounds so awful :( I need to ring the vet and tell them she has died, but I am thinking of getting a PM? I am not sure, I want to make sure my Xena is safe even though they are separated, how should I go about washing everything? Are the same things okay to use for Xena if cleaned properly, can't bear thinking about it but I need to make sure everything is safe for Xena now. I am so sad, thanks again.

I'm sorry she died. I know how much it hurts. We lost 4 in a 2 year period. It still makes me a little afraid that I'll loose one of our current two girls but it's not as bad as it was about 1.5 years ago. I wish you luck with Xena.

Getting ready for another day. Feeling sleepy. 😴
I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.
