Back to the drawing board! I did not know that Flikr was just like PB...when you delete photos from their site, they get deleted from wherever you had posted them! AHG...GRRR. Ok, this is going to take a long time to get the old pics back. I wish we could just upload from our files on our computers....*sigh*.

I had to delete my previous pics on Flikr in order to upload these. This is such a bummer. How do some of you load so many pics? I CAN NOT pay for a premium on a website. Does Snapfish or another program let you do unlimited by chance? (I will delete this part of the post once I get this straightened out, just needed to let you know what is going on and hopefully someone can help me..... :shock: )

First things first

We got him May 10th. He was 6 weeks old. 8" long. Sorry, don't know weight then. On June 14th he weighed 74 grams and was 11 3/4" long

This is May 10, 2011, our first day together!

August 25. Shows the drastic change a few months will make! Outside he shows a lot of the green he has in the previous pic, but not with the inside pics

Here he is on August 25, 2011;(I wonder how long he would be if not for a 2 month stop in growth? No matter :mrgreen: )

Ok, he was 216 grams first thing in the morning...now please excuse the graphic rest of this msg!lol He went to the bathroom right after this and then weighed 207 grams :shock: But I did not get a pic of the 207...just trust me :mrgreen:

This was taken about 10 days ago. *Maybe if I hide this dish, they won't know I am going to start eating salad today :laughing6: *

Hah, glad you found them, and thanks! Its so hard finding big boys like him out there so Im hoping to breed him next year to get some 20 + inchers that are big, beatuful, and healthy.

I figured it was a BBD because of the bag he was sent in. Its so exciting to get them in the mail isnt it? I have yet had that experience because when I got my boy my bf did the unpacking for me since I wasnt home . Soon though, you can never have just one! Right now we have two, but thats going to change very soon

Well sounds like he is a good size. Keep up with the baths. Licking from their nose takes some time to learn but keep on trying! Especially since his urates are hard...need them moistened.
And thats great new you ordered some yummie worms, he will eat those for sure. You also can get away feeding bigger worms for his size since they are soft and have no shell, but make sure they arnt too big.

I'm glad you PM'd me his thread! He is gorgeous. I love BB's dragons(hence why I got Blaze). Lol.
What are his genetics?

Wow Blood Banks dragon's are sure quality lines. I am definitely getting a bbd once I get my own house!!! Amazing and worth the price.

Sherri, I came to take a look at Razzle as you suggested. He is absolutely adorable! His coloring is awesome, you have done a great job. :wink:

I wouldn't say that he is thin at all. He isn't fat but he does look healthy. The top of his head could use a little filling out but nothing to be concerned about. Meds are very rough on their systems as you well know. What baby foods are you feeding and what probiotic are you using? I could recommend either brewer's yeast or bee pollen, both help increase their appetites, if you wanted to try one of those.

To help with hydration, have you tried any 100% juices like apple, grape, cherry or cranberry? You would dilute it with 3 parts water to 1 part juice. Mine always loved cherry juice. The more oral fluids you can get into him, the better.

Yes, I have been noticing his head as well, especially yesterday (when the pics were taken) which is what really promted me to get the pics posted.

I think his problem is more about the thinness of the fluids :roll: Can't be certain, but I have tried his favorite flavors in with water and he will not take it willingly. I have a few times done the wiggle the syringe into the side of his mouth and squirt it in a bit at a time but worry about aspiration.

Now, however, he usually clamps down if I try that...staring at me the whole time as if in a battle of wills :? Not sure I feel comfortable forcing his jaw apart, I feel that is when he could aspirate...when fighting it.

Nearly anything that is a bit thicker he will take, although now his liquid calcium seems too thin for him. I mix that in with his food now.

I use acidopholiz I got from Tracie (the banana calcium is from her as well) is thicker than the calcium so he takes it no problem.

Tracie did recommend bee pollen so I just got it. Hopefully that will make a difference.

I feed him chicken, squash, green beans baby food, mostly chicken and squash, just gave green beans for variety yesterday, he loved them.

I also ground up his dubia (I know! yuck!lol) and have fed that a few times, but yesterday he was not interested. If that happens again today I will mix them in with his chicken or veggies.

I blend up a bunch of greens as well, mostly collard with a little cilantro and a bit of parsley that I add a little bit of vitamins to as well and he likes that...but actually *eat* his greens? Nope, of course not lol.

We weigh him before and after eating sometimes and usually he will gain 2-4 grams per serving but most of it comes out the next day Having trouble getting him over the 100 gram mark. He was 74 grams on June 14 and now hovers between 95-99 grams now :?

I always offered dubia each day but I have decided to not offer any at all for a week or so? Hoping when he sees them again he will be interested, do you think that will be ok? I know he would eat hornworms if I got them, but last time many were dead and 1/2 had grown way too large for his size! It is just too hot for the trip right now Sad really b/c he will eat them.
